A Bit About Us

Here at Hallam Senior College we're doing multiple projects to attack litter in our environment for our class Personal Development. We were tasked to come up with an idea to improve our community and we went through a voting process in which we came up with litter as our main idea. Our class split into many groups and we each had our own individual projects which would help build our community into the better place it is projected to be. Here you can see the work from each group and a statement from each of the group leaders.

Bailey's Litter Collection

On a Monday which was supposed to be the cleanest day of the week, we managed to collect 7 bags of litter throughout the school grounds. This amount of litter displays how much of it is still hidden and not getting collected by the cleaners. Bailey's litter collection was done over 30 minutes and from a mmsall group of students, we collected that much.

Chloe & Ella's Painted bins

These Painted bins made by Chloe & Ella are trying to get students to throw their rubbish into the bins by making them look more like a game, such as a basketball hoop. That way students will try and throw the rubbish into the bins as a little competition or game.

Abby's Poster

This poster made by Abby is to increase awareness about litter. This poster does a great job of doing this and has many important and relevant statistics that can help inform you.
